Senior Cloud Engineer

Technical Skills

Key Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and maintain Kubernetes clusters to run mission-critical applications in a scalable and highly available environment.
• Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps or other DevOps tools.
• Write and maintain Linux shell scripts to automate routine tasks and ensure system reliability.
• Develop, manage, and troubleshoot Docker containers for efficient application delivery.
• Manage and automate Helm charts for Kubernetes application deployment.
• Set up and maintain Kubernetes monitoring solutions using tools like Grafana and other related technologies.
• Design and implement scalable solutions using Azure services such as Front Door, WAF, VNets, Blob Storage, and other cloud offerings.
• Implement Infrastructure as Code using Terraform to automate the deployment of cloud resources.
• Collaborate with development and operations teams to streamline the application lifecycle and improve the reliability and performance of cloud infrastructure.
• Ensure security best practices and compliance across cloud environments, including access controls and networking.

Required Skills and Experience

• 5+ years of experience in Cloud Engineering, DevOps, or Infrastructure roles.
• Expertise in Kubernetes (including RBAC, networking, and Helm charts).
• Hands-on experience with Azure DevOps for CI/CD pipeline management.
• Proficiency in Linux shell scripting for automating infrastructure tasks.
• Strong experience with Docker containerization and orchestration.
• Knowledge of Helm for managing Kubernetes applications.
• Familiarity with Kubernetes monitoring tools like Grafana.
• Extensive experience with Azure services, including Front Door, WAF, VNets, Blob Storage, etc.
• Proficiency with Terraform for automating cloud infrastructure deployment.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex issues in a production environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Azure certifications (e.g., AZ-104, AZ-400, AZ-303, AZ-304) are a plus.
• Experience with other cloud providers (e.g., AWS, GCP) is an advantage.
• Experience with Prometheus for monitoring Kubernetes clusters.
• Familiarity with GitOps and modern DevOps best practices.
